An homage to one of our heroes, Ed Ruscha, Various Small Fireworks Stands is an examination of rural architecture, commerce, and tradition. During the July 4th weekend, we took a road trip around the “Texas Triangle” (Dallas, to Houston, to San Antonio) documenting every firework stand we encountered with disposable, point and shoot cameras. After developing the film, this book started took shape and eventually found it’s final form in a matchbook-style artists’ book.
